About The We Alliance Party
Power to the People
The We Alliance Party (TWAP) is a registered Kenyan political party that places responsible leadership, citizen participation and constitutional rights at the centre of its institutional purpose. We believe the quality of government is measured not only by laws and announcements, but by whether people can access services, earn a living, feel safe and hold institutions to account.
What we stand for
A society in which opportunity is not reserved for the connected, government decisions can be scrutinised, public resources are managed transparently and every citizen is treated with dignity. Our approach connects constitutional accountability to practical household outcomes.
Our identity
TWAP retains its established plate-and-spoon symbol and the slogan Power to the People. The symbol expresses a simple principle: the value of public leadership is ultimately tested by what people can put on the table and the dignity with which they live. The party’s official visual identity remains subject to its registered records.
Our policy direction
The party’s Msingi Mpya policy development work is organised around five themes: MFUMO (the system), SAUTI (voice), NGUVU (citizen power), PESA (public money and opportunity) and HAKI (rights). These themes frame proposals for both institutional reform and better daily outcomes.
People and places
Kenyan public policy must speak to the experiences of a child, student, worker, trader, farmer, parent, caregiver, person with a disability, older citizen, entrepreneur and anyone facing hardship. It must also recognize the distinctive realities of urban neighbourhoods, rural communities, counties, informal settlements, arid areas and the diaspora.
How our party should be judged
- Whether published party information is accurate, accessible and regularly reviewed.
- Whether members and prospective candidates receive clear information about lawful processes.
- Whether party documents distinguish approved rules from proposals still being developed.
- Whether public enquiries are handled respectfully and personal data is safeguarded.
- Whether policy proposals include practical measures, responsible institutions and ways to assess results.
Governance and official records
The party operates through the organs and procedures established under its legally effective constitution and applicable Kenyan law. Current official leadership, headquarters, constitutional and nomination documents should be published only after verification against relevant party records and filings.
This draft does not represent proposed leadership changes, constitutional amendments or a rebranding exercise as completed or registered.
