Towards 2027: Election Preparedness and Official Information
The We Alliance Party is developing its organizational readiness for Kenya’s 2027 general election. Public information should be accurate, dated, accessible and distinguish official decisions from planning proposals.
What voters and members should be able to find here
- The party’s current registered name, symbol and contact details.
- The constitution and election or nomination rules that are legally effective at the relevant time.
- Officially appointed or elected party office-holders, once verified.
- Published nomination notices, deadlines, requirements and contact channels.
- Information on internal complaints, objections and lawful dispute procedures.
- Official announcements, downloadable documents and corrections.
Fair and transparent party processes
TWAP’s proposed election-administration work emphasizes clear notices, published criteria, consistent handling of applications, recorded decisions, appropriate inclusion, transparent party-list procedures and accessible review processes. Actual rules must follow the operative party constitution, the Political Parties Act, the Elections Act and relevant regulatory directions.
Candidate and aspirant information
Prospective aspirants should rely only on dated, authorized notices. A preliminary website expression of interest is not a nomination application or party endorsement unless the party explicitly establishes that process. Any fees, dates or eligibility conditions will be published only after formal authorization.
Party organization and representation
A modern, accountable party should have transparent institutional roles and clear channels at national and subnational levels, consistent with its legally effective governing documents. Proposed constitutional restructuring is not presented here as already registered.
Announcements and corrections
Every election-related notice should display its issue date, responsible office, reference number where applicable, status and any superseding notice. Expired announcements should remain in a dated archive rather than silently disappearing.
Where to confirm official electoral information
For statutory election information, use published communications from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) and other competent authorities. TWAP’s website should link to official sources instead of duplicating unverified deadlines.
